Thor, Patient Greeter

Board Certified Golden Retriever located in Fort Wayne, IN

Thor, Patient Greeter

A Fort Wayne resident, born and bred in the Midwest; Thor didn’t like the hustle and bustle of the breeder’s home, fighting with his pup sisters and brothers to get fed. On Christmas day he found a new home with the Veerula's and has a less hectic life. Thor received his education from their wooded backyard, navigating through birds, squirrels, and an occasional deer. After graduating from outdoor living, he started an internship at Fort Wayne Integrative Medicine, and they decided to keep him on their staff.

His office days are filled with taking naps and greeting patients with his friendly bark. Loud as it may seem, he’s afraid of his own shadow. During the day he likes to wander the IV room and make sure patients feel at home. He’s particularly interested in smelling and licking patients. So, please feel free to refrain if this is against your germ code.

Here at Fort Wayne Integrative Medicine, his focus includes staying out of the way, making patients feel welcome, and getting his beauty rest. Don’t get into an argument with Thor, he was on the debate team of the neighborhood watchdogs, so he knows how to be vocal.

On a personal note, Thor’s birthday is Halloween, and he loves to dress up in costume and enjoys dog bones (hint). Speaking of holidays, Thor was a Christmas present but was too big to fit as a stocking stuffer and too fragile to drop down through the chimney. So, he was a hand-delivered gift from Santa.

Hobbies & Interests:

Thor loves chewing on dog bones, running outdoors, chasing balls or squirrels, sitting poolside, giving, and getting lots of lovin’. Join us in welcoming Thor (not to be confused with Marvel comics)
